How we use AI
Plainly, and in writing
We use AI tools. We think you should know exactly how, what we never do with them, and what that means for owning your work.
01
What software does
We use AI tools, set up on your own material, for the heavy lifting: transcribing recordings, organizing notes, first drafts, consistency checks, formatting and code. It's how a year-long project fits into weeks.
02
What people do
We decide what goes in, edit every page, check every citation, make every design decision and review every line of code that ships. You approve each batch before we go on. Nothing is published that a person hasn't read.
03
Your material
Your files live in a private workspace used only for your project. We use tools and plan settings that don't train on your content, and we delete your source material 90 days after we finish unless you're on a care plan. We don't accept anything that identifies a patient or client of yours; we'll help you strip it out first.
04
Who owns it
You do, by contract: the work, the files, the accounts and the income. We keep a written record of what you supplied, wrote and approved, which supports your copyright. Final art and recorded music are always made by people, because purely AI-generated art isn't protected.
05
Telling Amazon (and anyone else)
Amazon's KDP asks publishers privately whether text or images were AI-generated. When we've drafted from your notes, we declare it on your behalf and show you exactly what we filed. We'll never help you hide how something was made.
06
What we won't do
We won't make books in someone else's name without them, imitate a living author, generate fake reviews, or publish anything you haven't approved. We won't use AI narration where a platform forbids it, or AI vocals and final art on music and comics we release.
